MetaHRise is a metaverse platform by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for immersive, interactive onboarding and talent development of new hires. Launched in February 2024, it uses gamification and virtual environments to enhance team building and employee engagement by allowing them to explore the company's culture and functions in a new way. MetaHRise has received recognition, including being honored by the Malaysia Book of Records(MBOR) for being the "First Multiplayer Metaverse Induction Programme" and winning the HR Initiative of the Year - Malaysia at the Asian Telecom Awards 2025.
